Brake applications for yaw drives are in constant use. So, our yaw braking systems are extremely resistant to wear and tear and easy to access for maintenance. This is important for carrying out regular pad adjustment to ensure no potentially damaging forces are transmitted to the turbine's structure and that sealings achieve their maximum operating life.

On both our rotor and yaw braking systems, you can change the brake pads without having to remove the calipers from the bracket – leading to savings in turbine downtime and maintenance costs. We can also equip our braking systems with advanced safety features, such as thermal sensors that detect overheating discs and help to avoid turbine downtime.
